Location

Q. Do you offer in-person therapy?

A. If you are located in the Joshua Tree area, I do offer walk-and-talk sessions in Joshua Tree National Park. Otherwise, all of my sessions are conducted via Zoom.

Telehealth

Q. Why would I choose online therapy?

A. Online therapy has been extensively researched, demonstrating its effectiveness comparable to in-person therapy. It also offers convenience and comfort by eliminating the need for commutes and enabling therapy from the comfort of your home. Furthermore, it broadens your access to therapists licensed in your state, transcending geographic constraints.

Services

Q. Which therapy services do you provide?

A. I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and multi-person groups.

Q. What is your theoretical approach?

A. My approach integrates depth psychology, internal family systems theory, existentialism, mindfulness, and emotionally focused therapy.

Cost

Q. How much do sessions cost and how long are they?

A. Sessions are 45 minutes, though exceptions can be made upon arrangement, and the cost is $200.

Q. Do you provide a sliding scale?

A. I do not offer sliding scale.

Qualifications

Q. What qualifies you to be a therapist?

A. I hold a master's degree in clinical psychology with a specialization in spiritual and depth psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. During graduate school, I interned at Cancer Support Community Los Angeles, providing counseling to cancer patients and their families. I successfully completed over three thousand clinical hours of training and passed the California Marriage and Family Therapy licensing exam. I have done extensive training beyond graduate school in psychedelic therapy and integration.

Insurance

Q. Do you accept insurance?

A. I do not accept insurance but I am able to provide a super bill that you can submit to your health insurance provider. Please consult with your insurance provider to understand what they cover within your policy.

Psychedelic Assisted Therapy

Q. What is your experience with psychedelic assisted therapy?

A. I have completed modules one through six at the Polaris Insight Center's Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Training, graduated from the Integrative Psychiatry Institute's Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Training program, and finished the MAPS MDMA training program. In November 2023 I completed a week-long training at the Experiential Training Institute for psilocybin in Amsterdam.

Q. Do you provide psychedelic assisted therapy?

A. Presently, I do not offer any psychedelic-assisted therapy. I anticipate providing ketamine-assisted therapy in the summer of 2024 in the Joshua Tree, CA region. Once MDMA is legalized, I intend to offer that therapy as well.

Q. Can you help me prepare for or integrate a psychedelic experience?

A. Absolutely! My training encompasses both preparation and integration for various psychedelic experiences, from ayahuasca to 5MEO-DMT or psilocybin to ketamine. Feel free to send me email to discuss further.
